Water Filtration Plant at Basti Raqba Nabi Shah (District Rajanpur)
Underground water of the village (Basti Raqba Nabi Shah) is brine and not suitable for drinking purpose. Local people travel around 5-14 kms daily to get water for drinking. In May (2021), with the help of our donors, Al-Qalam has installed water filtration plant in the village. The filtration plant converts around 20,000 liters of brackish water into clean drinkable water daily. The plant costed around 1 million rupees that was kindly donated by our donors.
MASJID ALLAH WALI (DISTRICT RAJANPUR)
In this village, there was only one hand pump installed which was used by the community to meet their daily water demand. The power quality at the village does not let electric water pump to run. Al-Qalam, with the help of its donors, replaced the hand pump with the electric water pump which is powered by the solar, installed the water storage tank, built hozzi and installed water taps to improve the water availability for the community. This project cost around 225,000 rupees.
CHOWK ALLAH RAKHA, PULL DHUNDI (DISTRICT RAJANPUR)
nderground water of the village is brine and electric power quality is poor. Al-Qalam, with the help of their donors, drilled ground (for about 300 feet) to access the water. Trust has installed the electric pump (powered through solar), installed the water storage, built hozzi, and installed water taps to improve the water access for the community. The project costs around 250,000 rupees.
However, water quality is still categorized as brackish and not fit for drinking purpose. Al-Qalam is planning to install water filtration plant to make water fit for the drinking purpose. The estimate of water filtration plant is 800,000 rupees. We call our donors to donate in this noble purpose and earn sadqa jaria by donating money for the project.

WATER FILTERATION PLANT FOR BASTI GHULAM RASOOL MOUZA DERRA JEAVAN ROJHAN
We installed RO plant (of 1 ton capacity) at Basti Haji Ghulam Rasool Mouza Dera Jevan Tehsil Rojhan Distt Rajanpur in 2022. The village has around 150 homes where approximately 1000 people live. They travel to far place (i.e., 4 to 5 km) to get the drinkable water. The filtration plant converts around 20,000 liters of brackish water into clean drinkable water daily. The plant costed around 1 million rupees that was kindly donated by our donors.
RO PLANT FOR MOHALLA ALLAH ABAD RAJANPUR
Allahmudillah we installed RO plant at Jamia Masjid Abu Bakar Siddique at Mohalla Allah Abad Rajanpur. The underground water of the mosque is hard. So, we installed RO plant of capacity of 200 gallon per day. The RO filter plant installed with water cooler. The cost of plant is Rs.50000.

RO PLANT FOR VILLAGE SHADI SHAHEED DISTT KHAIRPUR MIRS, SINDH
District Khairpur Mirs is situated in the north eastern region of Sindh and was among the worst affected areas during the flooding that occurred last year (i.e. 2022). In 2023, we decided to install a water filtration plant for the community in the same region (i.e. village of Shadi Shaheed in the Khairpur Mirs district, Sindh). Village of Shadi Shaheed is home to approximately 3,000 people who do not have access to electric power and clean power. About 75% of the underground water in the village is brackish and saline, and the villagers travel a significant distance of approximately 5 km to obtain drinkable water. We installed RO plant (of capacity 1 ton that on average can filter 6,000 litres of water per day) and 5.5 Kw solar plant to power RO plant as no electric power is available in the area.
