Pakistan’s growth and prosperity rely on our children. Unfortunately, Pakistan is the home of over 4.2 million orphans, according to a report from UNICEF (2015). In Pakistan, a higher percentage of orphans belong to socially and economically disadvantaged families. They are deprived of their basic rights of food, health, education, and protection. Orphans are most affected by the cycle of poverty as they are dependent on their guardians and caretakers.
The idea of Al-Qalam Orphan Support is to provide financial support to the children who lost either one or both of their parents. Our orphan support program will try that the most disadvantaged children in Pakistan are prioritized in society. We must pull them out of the vicious cycle of poverty.
